Fostering a vibrant, multicultural, and inclusive Mississippi Mills.
By celebrating diversity, creating connections, and continually evolving our understanding through openness and empathy, The Inclusion Project is committed to building a welcoming community and contributing to a more positive shared future.
What is The Inclusion Project?
Formed in 2023 and based in Mississippi Mills — a municipality located just west of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada — The Inclusion Project is a community organization of local volunteer residents and business owners with a vision to foster a more vibrant, multicultural, and inclusive community for all.
Our core values
All of our work in The Inclusion Project is guided by our core values:
A community for all
We are committed to upholding racial diversity, representation, and inclusion in Mississippi Mills, actively ensuring all its residents are seen, heard, and valued in our local spheres, and building a welcoming, fair, and equitable community where everyone can succeed.
A connected future
We believe that celebrating, amplifying, and honouring our diverse peoples, histories, and cultures enriches our community, and are focused on creating shared networks, spaces, and events that foster connection and move everyone towards a more inclusive future.
A continual journey
We acknowledge that everyone has their own unique lived experiences, perspectives, and beliefs, and strive to always be open — continually evolving our understanding, embracing empathy, and educating ourselves and others to inspire positive change for all.
